The biggest rivalry in Michigan isn’t Wolverines vs Spartans, Yoopers vs Trolls or even Vernors vs Canada Dry — it’s the little ole Michigan Legacy Art Park in FIRST PLACE vs the giant Frederick Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in second place as of this update (04/05/2021)

Free online voting has begun around the country for this year’s 10Best Readers Choice award for favorite Sculpture Park in America, presented by USA Today. Among the twenty curated nominees is Michigan Legacy Art Park, located in Thompsonville on the grounds of Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa.

Established in 1995 and celebrating 25 years as a cherished community organization, the nonprofit Michigan Legacy Art Park hosts a collection of more than fifty monumental artworks, rotating outdoor exhibits, and an artist residency — all dedicated to celebrating Art, Nature and Michigan’s unique history together. The park is open every day of the year, from dawn to dusk, where visitors can explore almost 2 miles of hiking trails within this wooded preserve.

Selected by USA Today editors, the Art Park joins iconic destinations and nominees such as the Storm King Art Center in Windsor, Laumeier Gardens in St. Lois, Desert X in Palm Springs, and the National Gallery of Art’s sculpture garden in Washington, D.C.

Fans may vote once a day until polls close on Monday, April 26 at 12 PM EST. The winner, as determined by reader votes, will be announced on Friday, May 7 — official terms and conditions can be found here.
